Ten Reasons to Never Ignore Numbness and Tingling

by Christopher K. Cole, DC, Chiropractor, Cole Chiropractic Clinic

Numbness and tingling are common conditions we see in our clinic.  However, they can be very serious symptoms. If you have numbness or tingling in your arms or legs, feet or hands, or anywhere else in the body, please contact our office for an evaluation. This is a symptom that requires prompt attention.

Ten Reasons to Never Ignore Numbness and Tingling

1.  It could be a sign of a serious condition.

2.  It could indicate nerve damage.

3.  You could have a repetitive stress disorder like carpal tunnel syndrome or tarsal tunnel syndrome.

4.  It can be caused by a serious vitamin deficiency.

5.  You could have a pinched nerve.

6.  You could have an issue with the central nervous system.

7.  You could have a herniated disc.

8.  You could have a circulation problem.

9.  You could have a systemic disease like liver disease, chronic inflammation, or a hormonal imbalance.

10. You could have a problem with the thyroid gland.

The Take-Away

Again, while numbness and tingling can be serious, it is something that can commonly be helped with chiropractic care.
