How Does Chiropractic At Your Tulsa Chiropractor Work?

How does chiropractic at your Tulsa chiropractor work? The most common procedure in our office is a spinal manipulation, or "chiropractic adjustment".

A spinal manipulation consists of a precise and controlled force applied to the transverse process or spinous process of a vertebra to correct misalignments. When vertebrae are restored to their proper position, the joint can move freely and pressure is reduced. Because misalignments are often caused by an injury to the soft tissue surrounding a vertebrae, it usually takes a series of chiropractic adjustments over a period of a few weeks to correct the misalignment completely and allow full healing of the soft tissue.
